Silica sand filter material is the most common material of filter material; it has extensive function, and is widely used. It can be used for drinking water, industrial water and all kinds of ordinary fast filter pool, sewage filter and water purification mechanical filter. It is also one of filter material that BLUEWATER uses, a necessary to filter material in fully automatic water softening control valve.

Our factory uses the natural quartz ore deposit as raw material, after mechanical crushing, rolling crushing, screening, drying, water screening, dry sieving and vibration separation etc. these new technology of production, effectively protect the natural structure of quartz, therefore lengthen the service cycle of the filter material. It has the advantages that high filter speed, good filtering effect, stable water quality, no blocking and agglomerate. The service period is longer (1-2 cycles) than sea sand.

Range of application:
Refined quartz sand filter material is suitable for domestic drinking water filter and other water purification treatment. It is more suitable for early period water treatment, circulating water treatment and sewage recycling of petroleum, chemical, mining, metallurgy, thermal power, papermaking, printing and dyeing, leather, food, etc.

Technical requirements:
1) The mechanical strength, the broken rate and the wear rate should not be greater than 1.5% (metered by weight).
2) Chemical stability and contains no visible dirt, mica and organic impurities, the water come out from the filter material does not contain toxic and harmful substances.
3) The density of quartz sand should not be less than 2.55 g/cm3. (Except special requirement).
4) Burning weight loss of quartz sand filter material should not be greater than 0.7%. Hydrochloric acid soluble rate should not be greater than 1.5% (ministerial standard).
5) Silt content should not be greater than 1%, less than 2 g/cm3 density of lightweight material content should not be greater than 0.2% (ministerial standard).
6) Particle size distribution is reasonable; the appearance is very angular and shiny crystal. Single or double filter material particle size range, average is 0.5 -1.2 mm. Three layers of filter material particle size range, average is 0.5 - 0.8 mm.
7) Diameter of particle size range is less than the specified minimum diameter, no more than 3% by weight; is greater than the maximum specified particle size, no more than 2%.
8) Quartz gravel supporting layer of the particle size range, generally is 2-4, 4-8, 8-16, 16- 32 and 32-64 mm (ministerial standard).
